Bike tour 1 blue - 49 km/ 545 meter of ascent

The cycling tour begins from your hotel in Silves and you cycle along the beautiful river landscape of Rio Arade, which is a breeding paradise for many water birds. After the Odelouca village you cycle through orange and vegetable plantations, small villages and past large golf courses. You will then enter the coastal area, where the development is denser and then the entrance into Portimão. Through narrow streets in the old port area, the route leads back to Rio Arade, which now leads into the sea. Along the estuary and new port, you will ride along well-developed cycle paths to the Portimão beach, the "Praia da Rocha". Then it goes back to the river, where you will pass the old imposing bridge where you will return to the other side of the river. Always close to the Rio Arade, you will cycle through the small village of Estômbar. Continue along the river in the direction of Silves, from where you have a good view over the broad river valley. After a few km on dirt roads, the tour leads back down to the river. Along the riverbank, partly through dense bushes, you reach the town entrance to Silves and go past an old Roman bridge to your hotel.

Bike tour 2 purple – 44 km/ 660 meter of ascent

Today's tour takes you north to the hilly landscape of Serra. First, you drive along a good paved road through a valley with lush vegetation. It is easy to climb uphill, after 10 km you leave this road and turn left into a natural path. Now, a 2 km long, very steep climb to overcome - The effort is rewarded with a great panorama view over the hilly Serra. After the hilltop, you descend to the "Ribeira de Odelouca". Once there, you can either descend directly to Silves, or 3 km up to Lake Odelouca. After the dam, you reach a viewpoint with a picnic area and there is a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding hills. Before you reach the village, you will pass Quinta do Frances. If you like, you can visit the estate and taste some wines.

Bike tour 3 red – 36 km/ 430 meter of ascent

Today’s departure begins directly behind the hotel with a short climb on a narrow natural path, which leads through dense trees and bushes. The tour then continues through the fertile area of Barrocal, with many vineyards. On small side roads you ride through small hamlets and pine trees towards the coast, to the lighthouse of Alfanzina, which stands directly on the edge of the cliffs. The route then continues along the coast, to the small village of Vale do Covo and the Bay of Benagil. If you feel like it, you can park your bike at the "Pescador" restaurant and take a small cliff walk. Then back on the bike and go back in the direction of Silves. The route passes through the small town of Porches and the varied landscape of the Barrocal.

Bike tour 4 black – 42 km/ 480 meter of ascent

Today, the tour begins with a trip through the rural area of Barrocal with its typical carob trees directly to the coast, the lively tourist resort of Armacão da Pêra, which was originally a small fishing village, but today is one of the largest tourist resorts in the Algarve. You pass through the village on the lively beach promenade and come to the small, picturesque "A Nossa Srª da Rocha" chapel, built on a rock cliff which extends far into the sea. Afterwards, you will drive around the lagoon and dunes of the protected wetlands of the "Lagoa dos Salgados" and reach the wonderful sandy beaches, which stretch eastwards. The route leads along the beach to Guia and continues past Alcantarilha, towards Silves and back to your hotel.

At the end of the route, you will cross another dam and after a short but very steep descent (you may have to descend from the bike), you will reach another lake, the "Barragem do Arade". Once again, ride along the lake back to the dam, and from there you go downhill, through a fertile plain marked by large orange plantations, back to your hotel.

Today's departure is back at your hotel with a short climb along the narrow natural path. Afterwards the journey through the Barrocal area, characterized by agriculture. Afterwards, you pass through the Guia village, known for its restaurants specializing in grilled "Piri Piri" chicken.
